Thompson, CT USA - Numa, a leading designer and manufacturer of down hole hammers and bits, has introduced the Patriot® 120 and Patriot® 125 down hole hammers as the latest members of their legendary Patriot® hammer line. Both hammers offer tremendous penetration rate, vastly simplified design and exceptional hammer life. By addressing drillers’ issues, the Numa Patriot® hammers provide a complete drilling solution.
Numa’s Patriot® 120 and Patriot® 125 hammers are designed to provide drillers with long life and fast penetration rates in hard rock conditions. The hammers are perfectly suited for completing rock sockets, caissons, foundation holes, elevator shafts, exploration drilling, blast holes, water wells or any other vertical or horizontal rock drilling projects. Designed for medium sized holes, the Patriot® 120 is capable of drilling holes 11-7/8 to 17-1/2 inches (302 - 445 mm) in diameter while the Patriot® 125 drills holes from 12-1/2" to 20" (311 - 508 mm) in diameter.
The strength and performance of both of these Patriot® hammers will amaze drillers who have been frustrated by the influx of substandard hammers in the market. The key to these new models is in the ground breaking Numa engineering which packs a full powered hammer into a smaller envelope that is easy to use and maintain. It is the smaller design that now allows many more drillers to utilize DTH technology where they previously only hoped they could.
"The Patriot® 120 and 125 are two of the best performing DTH hammers ever made," said Numa President Ralph Leonard. "Their combination of speed and longevity is unmatched in the industry."
Numa engineers took a simplified approach in the development of the Patriot® 120 and 125 that resulted in the elimination of several internal components. Less overall parts make these Patriots easier to maintain than competitor hammers, which means more time can be spent drilling. The feed tube assembly attaches directly to the backhead of the hammer to provide outstanding alignment of all hammer parts. This enhancement results in longer hammer life and improved overall hammer performance. All of this is accomplished with limited air requirements of 150 - 250 psi (10.2 - 17.0 bar) and 1065 - 1900 cfm (503 - 897 l/sec) for the Patriot® 120 and 150 - 250 psi (10.2 - 17.0 bar) and 1300 - 2300 cfm (614 - 1086 l/sec) for the Patriot® 125.
Another key feature of the Patriot® 120 and Patriot® 125 is the ability to handle difficult back pressure drilling conditions. When faced with high heads of water, both will continue drilling efficiently where most competitor hammers stop working. This is extremely important in many drilling situations where water is encountered.
Numa is a major manufacturer of down hole hammers and bits for the international drilling industry. The company designs and builds down hole hammers and bits for drilling vertical and horizontal holes 3-1/2 to 48 inches (89 - 1219 mm) in diameter. The company is known worldwide for their Patriot® hammer line, which provides an unmatched combination of fast penetration rates and long hammer life. |
