The speciality of Sree Vijayalakshmi Borewells is that, that right from the beginning, it has started drilling operations by the slow rig, calyx rig to the latest Super Fast High Pressure Hydraulic Drilling Rigs both on surface and in well by 4 ½” , 6”, 6 ½” and 10” borewells.

We undertake drilling of 4 ½”, 6” and 6 ½” waterwell both on surface and in well and provide suitable submersible pumps. 

4 ½” tubewells were dug down both vertically and horizontally in open wells. Core drilling & telescopic drilling was done in India on a large scale for harbours, ware-houses, roads and railways and so on and so forth. Waterwells are dug for farms and factories, dairy farms, distilleries, hospitals, high rise buildings, resorts, golf courses, sports grounds, water parks, I.T. and B.T.parks, buildings, dams, railways, thermal stations in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Coastal areas of India and others.


  1. So far no permission is required by government to drill a well.
  2. Select a well established, experienced and renowned waterwell drilling contractor.
  3. Get a water Diviner and or Geologist to locate your waterwell point.
  4. Ask for recommended standard casing, slotted pipes or screens, if need  be.
  5. Do not use pits for wells, as pits water is polluted.
  6. The well casing must be one foot above the ground level and the top must be welded by a cap.
  7. Where projected well cause disturbance, you can conceal waterwell in the
    underground and build a chamber below the surface.
  8. The well must be three foot away from the wall for flushing when called for.
  9. Avoid drilling waterwells near pits, septic tanks, cesspools, roadways,
    railways, open drainages, refineries, tanneries and or garbage yards to avoid contamination.
  10. Test the well water in a lab to know whether it is potable or not for drinking.
  11. The casing and cap must be non corrosive.
  12. Get the yield report (drill log) from well driller to fix up suitable pump to pump up water.
  13. Select not the lowest bidder as he may not use standard materials, and  
    experienced  crew.
  14. We will give service ‘round the clock’.

Water divining is the gift of the God. There are many devices of water divining. They are coconut, neem, pongamia  and coconut sticks(“y” shaped), gold chain, gold ring, pendulum, observing Sun’s rays and locating borewell point and satellite survey.

Finally getting water is purely the luck of landlord only.

Among all the above said methods coconut and stick methods are the best even in this Scientific and Computerized age.

Is other method of water well point location on a sheet of a paper by using green stick by a water diviner. This can be done by sitting at home. He will pin point the water well point by going to the land or site, where the water well is to be drilled. The water diviners will give accurate point to drill the borewell. They can tell approximate depth and yield of the borewell.


This is the scientific method of locating water well point by an Hydro Geologist. By this method, we can know aquifers, dykes, cavities, water bearing zones etc. In other words, this is also called resistivity method.

In a nutshall, ground water can be obtained by drilling or digging wells. The well water can be brought to the land surface by a monoblock, centrifugal, submersible, jet pump, hand pump or a compressor.

To-day, most of the wells are drilled in overburden (sand, soil, clay or semi consolidated earth) upto the rock and erect pipes to arrest caving in or falling of mud into the well and drill in the rock (see picture) where in we encounter aquifers and find layers. In these layers, we can have ground water. Drilling a well requires the use of special equipment with excellent skill and expert know how. Casing will not be needed for the full depth of the well in solid rock. In western countries drilling and erection of casing is done by simultaneously to save the time, energy and money. Thus in this method a ‘pilot hole ‘ is built.

After the well is constructed, we can fix up suitable stainless steel submersible pump, jet pumps or air compressor according to the need of the needy. These pumps will pump up water.


Approximately a well drilled up to 500’ deep  with 50’ casing, collars etc may cost Rs.50,000/- and the submersible pump may cost Rs.30,000/-.

If a well yields 500 gallons per hour (G.P.H) it is called a successful well for domestic use. If it is more than 2000 gallons per hour, it will be good enough for agricultural, industrial and other purposes.

The sky is the limit for joy when water comes up like a natural spring.


If a well yields less than 500 gallons per hour (G.P.H) it is called a failed well. The land lords designs and desires will be dashed to dust when they doesn’t get water.


Aftermath of successful completion of the well, yield test will be conducted by drilling company only and give the water available in the well that will determine to fix up suitable submersible pump.


“Prevention is better than cure”

Usually, in India water is potable for drinking. Well of course, you can contact the department of Mines and Geology (M&G) Public Health Engineering (P.H.E) or any government agencies in your area for testing your well water.


Water is present on the Mother Earth in three forms, namely, solid, liquid and gas (vapour). Water vapour is present in the air at all temperatures. It is the only element that has three distinct forms.

A drilling rig is an equipment which drills waterwells in the ground to get ground water. There are special rigs which will drill oil wells and gas wells.


It is slow in drilling as it is being handled manually with the help of a drill mast and it is either driven by diesel or power. Usually, it is deployed to drill a well where ever there is collapsible formation, and fix up casing. Thenceforth, fast rig has to re-set into the point and drill down to feasible depth.

Hydraulic rigs are the rigs and tools which use fluid power to work quickly and fastly, and hence they are, therefore called Super Fast High Pressure Hydraulic Drilling Rigs. In other words, they are also called the cyclone Rigs.

We offer a versatile equipment to operate in areas of clearance of less than 12 feet height e.g. under canopies, inside compound, narrow spaces and buildings. The rig is having limited access and in areas where a remote power supply is needed. The compressor mounted on a truck will be parked 100’ away from a drilling site and air is passed through the hose to drill down the well.

Where ever 4 ½” rig can do drilling 6 ½” can’t be done because of less space. We can deploy 6 ½” rig in open fields, factories, or wherever more space is available.

We use down-the-hole (D.T.H) hammers, drag bits, and button bits in drilling any 4 ½”, 6”(inwell), 6 ½” and 10” borewells.
