Bill Davis started in the drilling trade in 1972 as a driller's helper for a firm engaged in geotechnical drilling.
In 1973 he worked as an assistant driller with the Southwest Florida Water Management District. His duties included collecting rock core and water samples, and the construction of wells to monitor saltwater intrusion.
in 1983 Bill went to work for the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation constructing monitoring wells throughout the state. From 1985 through 1997 he was the drilling coordinator for the Site Investigation Section of Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He was responsile for contract management and supervision of in-house and contract well crews.
In 1997 Davis Drilling Services, Inc. was established. The company deals primarily with the construction of residential and irrigation wells, but maintains the necessary credentials to do environmental and geotechnical work.
